Everyday Me

One Day…My Dreams will come True

Happy Hump Day!! I’ve been doing a lot of dreaming lately and I thought a Bucketlist blog would be perfect!

I’m a dreamer, I enjoy thinking of what could be or what would be and all the fun I would have if I had one million dollars.

Here are just a few things I dream about doing often, my goal is to do these and share these memories with the ones I love.

beach

I have seen many beaches and every one of them is different and I also enjoy riding horses so riding a horse on the beach just sounds amazing. On a cruise horseback riding is an excursion that is offered so I plan on doing that excursion eventually.

costa rica

My father’s family is originally from Costa Rica and I have some family that still lives out there. When my brother and I found out that we still have family in Costa Rica we thought of how much fun it would be to meet new family and learn new traditions from native relatives. Meeting new family and traveling together sounds like a great time.

drive in

Yes, I’m cheesy and have watched Grease way too many times. A drive-in movie theater sounds like so much fun! During the summer my favorite thing to do is to watch movies outside in the backyard under the stars. Being outside is my favorite part of summer!

get old

Another cheeseball move, but I really believe in Happily Ever Afters! I cannot wait to see Daniel old with grey hair and just be an old goober. He will be old when he gets grey hair unlike me, I’ve had them since I was like 18!

hawaii

Everyone…I mean everyone dreams about going to Hawaii so I know this isn’t surprising! I cannot wait to go to a real luau and visit all the islands!

language

When my brother was younger we used to talk to him with sign language. I wish I kept learning sign language, I’ve always found it interesting and I hope that one day I will be able to be fluent in sign language.

macy parade

Another super common bucketlist item, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade! Watching the parade has been a tradition since I was a young child and I never miss it so being able to watch it in person would be amazing and a dream come true.

mom

My mom and stepdad are amazing and have taken us to so many places and have taught us that creating memories is so much more important than buying junk. One day I hope to take my mom on her dream vacation where she will never have to worry about a single thing. My mom is the strongest women I know and she deserves the best trip of her life!

mommy

For those that know me know that I have been struggling with infertility for about two years and every day and night I dream about the day I will be called mommy for the first time. I’m sure after hearing “mommy” 50,000 times a day the word loses its effect but I pray that I will never stop getting excited hearing my child call me mom. One day, if having a baby is in God’s plan I pray I will be a mom.

summer house

How cool would it be to live in a house for an entire summer where you could walk out and see the beach?! I would love to watch sunsets and sunrises from a beach chair right outside the home I’m spending a summer at. Living by a boardwalk and enjoying a summer-house sounds great!

tattoo

My best friend and I have planned on getting matching tattoos since our sophomore year in high school and I hope that one day we get one! We had a design created and we loved it but I know as time has flown by I’m sure there are other designs we are sure to love! Especially since we have been through so much together!

tree

Last but not least, I would love to plant a tree that would live for forever! I think it would be so cool to have my children or my great great children look at a tree and see how far back it was planted. Planting a tree is also like giving life to something that can last.

These are just a few of my favorite bucketlist items that I really wish and pray that I will complete. What are some of your dreams you hope to complete? I’m a dreamer and I plan to be for forever and this bucketlist is my way of dreaming.

May all your dreams come true! Keep dreaming!

Blended Families

“Family….where life begins and love never ends.”

I thought today’s blog would be a fun get to know me kind of blog. For those that know me personally know that my parents were divorced when I was younger and now they are friends.

Sounds pretty normal right, a lot of divorced parents are friendly for the sake of their children but I’ve been blessed beyond words could ever describe. When my parents got divorced they said they were better as friends, most parents say that while getting divorced but for me it was true.

My mom and my stepdad were married in January of 2007 and just celebrated 10 years of marriage, it’s crazy to think my stepdad has been in our lives for that long. My dad and my stepmom were married in August of 2013, that was the day we officially became a blended family. I was lucky to get three stepsisters- which was SOOOOO exciting to me since I always wanted sisters.

A lot of people think of blended families as step-parents and step-siblings but to me I think of my blended family as a whole. I love that some weekends we could it with all of my parents and all of my siblings.

SnapChat fun with my mom and stepmom.

We are a very unique family that I would not change for the world! Having a unique family means that I should scream it from the roof tops and hopefully teach other families that it is okay to not be by the books. Trust me, my life may sound like a fairy tale but it definitely took some time to get here. This is just proof that anything is possible.

I don’t think I could every thank my stepmom and my stepdad enough for accepting my brother and I into their families. Blended families are so much more than visiting every other month, I feel like I’m a part of their families when it comes to birthdays or holidays or even regular Sunday dinners.

family

My stepdad never had children of his own so when he met my mom he went from childless to have two kids. I can’t imagine what went through his mind when he realized that I had just become a teenager (my poor family) and my brother was his own kind of character. One thing about my stepdad is that he always accepted us from day one.

The person I feel bad for the most was Daniel, most guys have it easy and only have to ask permission from one dad to marry their daughter, Daniel had two dads and two moms. (My moms are very protective!) I’m happy to report he survived and we are going on three years of marriage!

All in all I have to brag that I am beyond blessed with the life the Lord has blessed me with. Sometimes the holidays are stressful since there are so many families to visit but honestly I would change the fact that my parents got divorced. I love my GIANT family more than words could ever describe.

Here’s to my big family, may we always love one another and be there for one another. I love each and everyone one of you and the memories we have made in this journey as a blended family.

Our Weekend Fun!

Happy Tuesday!

I enjoyed writing about our weekend last week so I thought I’d do it again! This weekend was so fun and definitely made up for a HORRIBLY long Stressful week!

For all Disney fans I’m sure you were busy this weekend watching the long-awaited Beauty and The Beast! ❤ ❤ ❤ I don’t know about you but I cried, it was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to watch it again! NO SPOILERS HERE! ( Even though I really really really want to talk about the movie!)

Friday night started with Beauty and the Beast  at Flix Brewhouse- for anyone that hasn’t been there you must go! Great food and drinks while you watch the movie!! I had a Watermelon Cider that was delicious and a chicken quesadilla that melted in your mouth!

Saturday started with dreaming/looking at RVs and Campers, I love camping but I’m more of a Glamping kind of person. My requests for camping are working toilets and comfortable beds! Of course, we aren’t planning on buying a camper anytime soon but it is fun to look at them and dream of camping in the really expensive ones! Hey, you never know when you’ll need a fireplace and a bar while camping??

Our next stop was Boxing Bear, for anyone that knows my family knows we enjoy brewery hopping and after four years of drinking I’m finally getting used to beer. My parents are so proud….I’m only joking! There is also a brand new brewery that just opened in Albuquerque so of course we had to go test it next, Steel Bender Brewyard. It’s still fairly new so there were a lot of people there but it was very spacious and fun for all ages! I personally didn’t try any new beer but from what I hear the beer was good! After multiple stops Saturday ended with a fun Snapchat session with my mom and stepmom. (Look for a fun blog later this week)

Sunday Funday is always my favorite, most times it is my day to do absolutely nothing but this Sunday was different! After a too much fun kind of Saturday night I woke slow and groggy and was taken outside to the sun and heat!! 😦 ……..it really wasn’t that bad!

The whole family went out to shoot guns, we called it Zombie Apocalypse Training!  It had been a long time since I shot guns so it was fun to get the entire blended family out there. My little sisters even rocked the guns and I can’t forget that both my moms shot also!

We ended the night with a fun slumber party with my little sisters. Daniel decided he wanted to make the popular Pinterest Cookie Ice Cream Cups……..fail

Yeah, that didn’t work so well. Let’s just say we spent the next 30 minutes fanning smoke out of the house but everyone was safe and we still got some yummy cookies to eat. We ended the evening with a fun indoor movie on the projector, I believe everyone is counting down to the first outdoor summer movie session!! (More to come on that later)

After everything we did this weekend I can say it was very eventful and fun! Daniel and I definitely needed a weekend to keep ourselves busy! Lets just say we started the week exhausted! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and hope you have a great week!

Martha Stewart Who??

Hi Guys!

Lately I’ve been on this cleaning spree, I feel like our house is so cluttered and it’s driving me crazy! Does anyone go through Pinterest sprees of organization pins?? I sure do! I do it with workout pins also, LOL and we know where those go! Nowhere!

Well, I finally finished cleaning majority of the house and still have little places to clean but I feel so much better now that there aren’t piles everywhere! But the next thing on my list is to start cooking more, I’ve been working at home for quite some time and I realized that I didn’t appreciate the 3 times to cook at home as much as I should have.

I always wanted to be the next Martha Stewart until I realized I’m only organized sometimes and I can only cook like 5 meals. Also, I haven’t been to jail so I may need a new mentor LOL!

I decided that I want to learn more recipes and TRY to stay organized longer than one week. Let’s hope I can do it! If anyone has any recipes or tips they’d love to share I would love to hear!

Let’s hope for some good meals and a clean house! Happy Spring Cleaning to everyone!!
